Pioneering the future for remote robotics.

Reliability
By utilising a forward-thinking design approach, many sub-systems of RoboCom have been built using state-of-the-art, revolutionary technologies. These technologies, such as our practices with peer-to-peer (P2P), multi-layered connection protocols, allow for a reliable system when under network stress.
Engagement
Leading the future of careers in robotics means having an engaged audience! In order to ensure RoboCom is up to the standards of enjoyment, our activities envoke a "game-like" design, powered by Unity Real-Time Development Platform. Standardised feedback from past visits to schools indicate that with each passing version of RoboCom, engagement levels keep climbing.
Foundation
To ensure the future of RoboCom - like any well-built software - solid foundations have been built since 2024. With each iteration of RoboCom, these foundations only prove more rigid and modular. With rigorous data collection performed in the early stages of RoboCom, and it's dynamic design, altering the program to fit the need of any use case is highly feasible.
Outcomes
At RoboCom, we are always striving to develop and maintain a system that has real, significant impacts on both the education and robotics sectors. Currently, we aim to gather vital data from multiple visits to schools across both rural and regional Australia. This imperative data allows us to improve the ever-evolving system, with a broad outlook on the exciting future of RoboCom.

- ⚙ Comparative fidelity trials available to demonstrate the difference between a low-fidelity and high-fidelity system. Lo-Fi system reveals the nature of noisy control signals. Hi-Fi system overcomes these challenges with elegant in-house solutions.
- ⚙ Activities in alpha development phase. Constant improvements being made with structured plans for the future.
- ⚙ Unity-developed GUI to enhance the experience of the user by "gameifying" the activities.
- ⚙ Core robotics principles taught like 3D coordinate systems and basic robotic control.
- ⚙ Multiple activities in development, with constant UI and technical improvements.
- ⚙ Haptic-Enabled master devices allow for users to interact with objects in Unity.

“The Future Made Real.”
"For a rural secondary school within a low-socioeconomic area to be able to not only grasp the concept of modern science and technology research, but to be able to play a part in it has been inspiring for myself as an educator, but it [has] had a far greater impact on the students, as they now realise that they have access to the same resources and technology that was once restricted due to our location."
Check out an article by the Portland Observer here.
"It has helped students understand the change in industries and things that are possible outside of rural areas where you usually become a truck driver, work in timber, sawmills or agriculture. Through the workshops, they can see and experience the technology and how it impacts the world and how they can use it in their lives rather than being [discouraged] by it."
